i might make some elements in my mod if i can ever get visual studios working again i have a 4 year old brother he can help me with the elements he said he wants 3 stickmen lol simple enough copy the code change the key commands to whatever maybe t,f,g,h maybe add some:.(u guys suggest)
Yeah, older kids can use it just fine. The problem is a 2 or 3 year old isn't going to be able to figure it out so well. Remember this is preschool, and that means toddlers.
Biggest issue is the screen doesn't file the screen so one stray click and you get whatever program is behind the powder toy. A two year old isn't going to know that they have to reselect the game to start drawing again. All they are going to know is the game is gone and they can't play with it anymore.
That leaves them free to select files and icons and reformat my hard drive.
I've been going over all the mod's offered in the mod forum and I think Mur's mod is the closet to what I needed. His current mod allows the powder toy to go full screen by pressing F-11.
And thank you for the link Hyperlinex. I actually had the original last year and didn't know that more where being made. I think I downloaded the original powder toy on btjunkie as a torrent file. The buttons on are easier, but the screen size was too small.
The nice thing about OE-cake was the buttons were nice and big, and placed on the right hand side of the screen. They seemed to have an easier time using OE-cake as far as selecting elements themselves without assistance.
Thanks yew101 for the mod, it help in my class being able to use the alphabet. Would it be possible to have destructible letters and larger?
But thanks everyone for the help. I'm not really a programing type of computer user, but looking through the information has given me drive and courage to take my first steps. I don't know, there is some zen about the simplicity of TPT, and at the same time very complex. But i fear it would be a long time before I had anything worth showing.
