    @Rock-
    Intel core duo's are basically "out dated" by todays standards, the desktop that I use now is from 2004 and it uses an Intel quad core processor and even that was average for its time, now the standard is changing to i3,5, and i7.

    do they even still make duo cores?

    And windows are far more compatible to todays market, almost 90% of material on the internet is created for or by windows and PC users.
