Oh, that makes it very confusing. I use layering becuase I only have to change the layering on a single pix, that way I can have multiple "triggers" along one PSTN "extender" that each extend different amounts, making it possible to convert from "binary" in a single frame. If the values in the other pixels will also change how much it extends, then won't it not be possible to convert from "binary" anymore?
Is this what you mean? (Converts a 4 bit number into a PSTN length. MSB at top, input currently set to 11.)
It just requires a little thought on what temperatures to set the PSTN to.
