Dude, I live in Florida, its not that bad :P

and my camp was fun, actually. although it wasn't an overnight camp, we were outside marching for the majority of the day. As far as the 'environment' goes, the mosquitoes you learn to ignore (and get ointment after... though the itching is terrible) the heat can be worse (ever heard of Texas?) and being drenched in sweat is not *so* bad :P.

As for your camp itself, I will admit, its crazy. Crocodile infested lake?
