In 1 day this thread got 14 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    With out spamming.

Well I have a question to share with u all.

So u know how quasars are supposed to be at the end of the universe (they give more light than galaxies and are smaller), like 12 billion light years away. So when we look at a quasar through a telescope we see it 12 billion years ago, right. But right now the quasar is 12 billion years old. So what if we traveled there at the speed of light. We would get there after 12 billion years. Would the quasar be 24 billion years old or still 12 billions years old?

I think it would be 24 billions years old. How about U?

Yes, because if it is 12 billion light years away, then traveling at the speed of light will take as long as light takes, which is 12 billion years.
For all we know, the milky way is gone, because we are seeing it hundreds to millions of years in the past. I don't think it is gone though, just the thought that what we see in the universe, although it looks like real time, happened hundreds of years ago.
