You find the parachute you just landed a few seconds ago with. You pick the knife back up, and cut a piece of the parachute off.
Great, what has that accomplished?

You are in a canyon and you are bleeding out. There is no one around to help you reach a hospital (which, by the way, is nowhere near, because you are in the middle of a canyon).

removing the kebab was a breeze, but you have been stabbed and the fall causes you to break a rib.
