    lolzy:
knew science you would know that inside a star is NOT a nuclear explosion. A nuclear explosion is made from nuclear fission by having an unstable radio-isotope bombarded by neutrons which causes the nucleus to split.

    triclops200:
nuclear fusion bombs. they use deuterium or tritium to make an explosion with fusion.

read harder, stars use fusion to make a continuous fusion explosion.

So? He is saying that stars create plutonium that act like fissile.

They do in fact create all the heavy elements. But he is implying that they make a significant impact on the star's radiation.

wrong, he was saying there were no explosions in stars, I was saying there were, this obviously was a misunderstanding on your part, that is no problem, just please stop digging the hole.

No explosion? He wrote, "constant nuclear explosions". How can that be understood as no explosions?

So? WTH has that to do with the thread starter.

And on what lolzy said, it is not an explosion. The gravitational force holds it together.

"An explosion is a rapid increase in volume and release of energy in an extreme manner, usually with the generation of high temperatures and sometimes gases." hmmm... that describes a sun perfectly.

Except the rapid increase in volume.

the gases and matter inside a sun increase their volume rapidly, they have a controlled limit however.

I am just arguing against the use of explosions as it is misleading.
