    I think its possible using CUDA(GeForce) or Stream(Radeon) for updating particles and OpenGL or DirectX for rendering(graphics doesn't have to be realistic)

    ya its basicly impossible i used too play a game called universe sandbox and it was in 3-d but they sent you a pair of 3-d glasses in the mail and you had too pay 25$ too get them.

    i bet you guys could ad a shadow effect to the particls with blob giving it a semi 3d look...

    You guys probably got confused from the above post. The suggestion is to actually make PT have the x,y,z axis, not make it look "3D".
