No way. The saves will grow into ginormous 10Mb files, so the server will fail due to overload.

To be honest, an element maker, i.e. a program that allows you to make the properties of the elements (as well as basic reactions, e.g. if PTA touched PTB, PTC and 2.0f of pressure is formed... it would give you the code and where to put it and you would then substitute it into powder.h and whatever, or that could be automatic? I dunno.

It could, but there's not really any more point in making any elements that don't have special code.

There's only about 10-15 elements that don't have code other than the original defining properties.

    10Mb files

    shat ap

flood filled (about 200 000 particles) screen stamp is 125b, so with creation with 10 coded elements will be about 10b more.
AND WHO SAY THAT EVERY CREATIONS WILL USE THAT?

Or we could have plug-in systems? Have separate files for each element and compile it to have a folder itself. So users can add a file into the plug-ins folder... I'm not sure how hard would this be. Just a small thought.

Wouldn't that still cause problems for saves that have an element that others don't?

Have a required confirmation message. Or something to warn them. Garry's Mod doesn't warn people, but people who create maps tell them to get so and so plug-in.
