support for c++ scripts?

    I don't think TPT is the party embarrassing itself here. Anyway, you're very welcome to make mods, the source code is on github. Maybe you meant scripts? As for using Lua, it's a choice most users are fine with, has great advantages over alternatives, and has worked well for a long time. This is a non-issue.

    You should totally learn Lua. And believe it or not, it's not entirely up to jacob1 whether Python gets back into the game. Also see edited post above.

    You make it sound like learning Lua would automatically make you lose all knowledge you had gained about the other languages you know. If you already know python, chances are, you can learn Lua pretty fast; it's not difficult at all, it probably took me a week to learn it, and just so you know, I learned it for TPT, I didn't bug the devs to make python scripting possible to allow me to do stuff.

    Anyway, locking this thread since there doesn't seem to be a chance the argument would end peacefully.
    P.S. the fact that @moonheart08 mentioned about Lua being lightweight and that elements created with python would perform terribly is a very great argument, not sure why it wasn't enough to convince you.
