Try running four TPT windows at once with a demanding save running on all of them. If it runs smoothly, congratulations, you're one of the lucky few who could actually run what you are suggesting. Most people do not have enough resources, so this will not be implemented.

I wish there was an option that let you change the size of the simulation area. Then you could make it smaller on slow computers, and larger on fast computer.

The problem with this idea is that saves would be different sizes, which could cause problems.

How about creating a new exe, 'TPT+' or something, which has a grid twice the size of the regular TPT grid?
TPT+ will only be able to browse/open/save saves built on the large grids, while regular TPT will function as it is.

That way anyone opening the possible laggy saves in TPT+ is doing so at their own risk. Also completely bypasses the problem of saves being different sizes.

Or maybe the big simulation area would have the same particle limit as (or less than) the normal one, so it isn't much more laggy, but better for things like space battles, or robot testing.

Nah, same particle limit kinda defeats the purpose.

And now I'm back. Until the holidays end again at least.
