Ceramics

Oh my gosh o_o Amusingly! Quartz was actually intended to be a sort of ROCK element, something that would be absurdly difficult to destroy via any means -besides- nukes, and even then some.

..I just, any idea what -category- something like this would go in?

Otherwise, I'd prefer if the reaction producing this was something less simple. We've too many 1+1=2 reactions in the game as it is. : P

    Well screw steel come ceramics!

What if you guys/gals made a HARD category and put wall materials in there like qrtz, ttan, soon to be ceramics? Then you don't have to go everywhere for materials....although there are already LOTS of categories, maybe we can remove the powered materials and distribute it, although most then would be in the special menu...

IMHO the melting point is... pointless? Cause when using such high temps you don't care whether its 4000 or 9725- every meltable element in PT will be molten at around... 3000C? afaik, INVS is permeable to NEUT, and it does conduct heat. I would be happy if there was non-conducting, non-flammable proton absorbing thingy, cause using (any sensor)+DMND or (any sensor)+VOID wall is quite strange atm. Something as non-flammable insulator would make life much easier :D @Schneumer: Please, no more category changing, its just annoying, when after some updates you realize that insulator is in electronics although it also doesn't conduct heat.

It is used in electronics...and also, well if it is annoying that is really your problem, since i don't ever see anybody else complaining.....are people really that lazy that they can't find elements? Sheesh.

INVS is permeable to NEUT, but will turn PROT and PHOT into NEUT as well; and will disappear at high pressures. The melting point is actually fairly important, as anyone wanting to build a 100% breakable HYGN Fusion plant will want some kind of super-tough element as this to line the reactor with.

I'd rather compare this to M$ removing the Start button in windows 8- it doesn't change that much, but you have to get used to the new, which is kinda annoying, as it slows down your work until you start to remember the new location of elements. I don't think its like that just for me...

Ok, now I see- so it's like ultra durable semi-energy-absorber wall. Thats good imo.

We've come to the conclusion yesterday that the change in how we organize elements is needed. The fact is, eventually we're going to over crowd a category and that ruins the idea of the menu being quickly acessible. Whatver it is, we're quite possibly going to work on a new menu.

As a suggestion for your forth point:

Considering ceramic doesn't usualy have any metal in it, perhaps you could change the reaction from a metal and CLST to QRTZ and CLST?

Edit: To prevent saves from breaking with the new reaction, use moltern CLST with another element, as CLST never melts naturaly.

Final Edit: Perhaps we should start adding elements in pairs. This would prevent saves from breaking as the new element would only be created with its pair element.
