(And even given how huge your sonic boom gun is, it still doesn't work nearly as well as one of the old ones.)
Well, usually it don't get annoying for me, I only need 3 stacked particles to get my saves work (arK used that too!)
1.PSCN+(CRAY+CRAY) for converting ray
2.PSCN+(ARAY+INSL) been used a lot (look at my saves!)
3.PSCN+(CONV+BTRY+DMND) can be part of an ARAY laser(I'm not sure!)
4.(DLAY+ARAY) is delay that ARAY can pass through
But sometimes it gets annoying:
1.use just one single pixel of CRAY to create everything: INWR(CRAY(METL)+CRAY(INWR)+CRAY(SPRK)+CRAY(GOO)+CRAY(PSCN)+CRAY(BRAY)+CRAY(PSTN)+...)
2.PSTN decompressor that decompress a lot of pixels of particle from just one pixel of particles
Also I'd like to point out: FILT stacked with other particles can affect like some particles are placed after a window (but unrealistic, when I tried to use PSTN to push all the particles, it pushed particles inside FILT instead of FILT):
I recommend you don't use any, for the reasons that I have explained in old threads. The only reason you can still do more than one layer for most particles is because it's rather complicated to limit it further while still making sure things like BIZR passing through FILT work correctly.
However, maybe you could explain exactly what all those things do and why they are useful, so that alternatives (or modifications to the game to make alternatives easier) can be suggested.
My save is also just an example. Please feel free to make a better one.

BHOL formation shouldn't really be happening during most normal gameplay (i.e. not involving use of console or PROP tools to put many particles in the same place). Do you still have the save?
It was a experiment on a round diamond chamber. I got a few of those saves. None of them generate BHOL. Either was fixed or I lost the save. I bet for second one as I got a huge mess with saves over here.
1.ARAY&INSL
This is ARAY that ARAY can not pass through. Sometimes I has to create an ARAY stuff that uses ARAY features. To make it work for more than once I has to use PSCN+ARAY to clear everything, but with normal ARAY PSCN gets sparked too early.
2.CRAY&CRAY
Converting ray. Just for fun.
3.PSCN&CRAY
Actually it is PSCN+PSCN&CRAY+CRAY. CRAY is sparked twice, it works like a convert ray, but it is actually part of a CRAY screen.
4.DLAY+ARAY
Not very useful, but it's already been used.
At (x=310,y=236) in this save:
