    However, the general consensus on IRC seemed to be that if we're going to make such a major change to electronics that it needs a compatibility mode, it should be more impressive than just making electronics go faster. Something like adding voltage, for example.

    Well, is it difficult to program Fast Electronic Mode? I see why you think Itegrated Circuit is difficult but Fast Electronic Mode is easier.
