It's actually possible to improvise the workings of a real rocket engine quite realistically already.
You also have to remember that powder toy is not only about rockets, and elements that are suggested here on the forums need multiple applications in order to be at least considered.

    Okay. Edited the original post.

But yeah, I know it's not just explosions and stuff like that. Rockets would just beef up the game a bit. I play Kerbal Space Program a lot, so I love rocketry.

Here's an example of rocketry with good chemistry: Nuclear Thermal engines. A nuclear reactor is used to superheat liquid Hydrogen and the gas is propelled out the nozzle.

This is a perfectly fine rocket I made with the current TPT elements and it works just fine:

    Probably not.
However, I strongly recommend that you browse through other suggestion threads and notice how they are structured. Most threads only contain a single element, but they are much more in depth. And actually, the only successful suggestion threads i've seen/made have just had a single element, but the whole thread is completely devoted to that element in detail.

I could use a longer-burning substance, but one that explodes. That's why I posted this. Maybe just SLRK?

A slow burning explosive is actually not a bad idea. If you expand on it, perhaps on a separate thread with more detail, it might even be considered

    A slow burning explosive =

Fuse + C4, etc = "slow burning explosive"
