The Powder Toy

I'm new to the powder toy community.

    Welcome to the tpt community, I hope you enjoy it here and have a fun time. For electronics you should take a look at some basic things (not calculators) which would explain a bit how they work.

    Basically, just be yourself, try and mess around with Powder Toy, come on IRC (irc.freenode.net, #powder) if you need anything and don't let people tell you your work is bad, because we were all new to TPT once.


    Also, try to learn from other people's saves, but don't copy. :)

    Hi random dude from somewhere,

    this game is one of the most advanced games out there. It allows you to do a variety of stuff.
    Try them out, check out others' saves to see what else you can do, and most certainly, experiment! For example,
    • shoot EXOT with ELEC to make it go rainbows and after a while, explode into seemingly nothingness,
    • make a lot of DEUT, cool it down and try to compact as much as you can, then shoot NEUT at it,
    • learn how to use PIPE:
      1. Place PIPE.
      2. Wait until walls appear.
      3. Cut off the walls where you want the *exit* hole to be.
      4. Wait for it to turn stripy.
      5. Cut off the walls where you want the *enter* hole to be.
      6. Profit!
    • turn on the block wall, open the console (C button on the right edge), add some DUST, write these commands:

      and then make some VAC above to fly the particles around. Use Persistent Mode and spam I while you're at it.


    Also, if you feel like it, and you've used Internet Relay Chat before, then go to

    and talk to the most awesome people of this game. Just make sure to be extra mature and awesome while in the channels.
