The speed you download at also depends on where you are downloading it from...

My tested download speed is 27 Mb/s but I have never downloaded faster than 1 Mb/s :(

South Koreans are among the fastest in the world and are able to download at 100 Mb/s.

In Estonia, if available, pay a one-time payment and 100Mbit/s fiberoptic would be linked to your house. I get ~1.0MB/s with BitTorrent, but that's enough to brag with @MasterMind555.
