@mniip(View Post) Android is a strange variation of Linux in which every program gets their own user log-in and Dalvik VM instance. That's why it's slow.
@boxmein(View Post) Strange is right, in fact it might be EVIL, but that could not happen because Google said don't be evil. so I believe them. ( ha ha I love to be sarcastic)
@Fast-Driver(View Post) The board (board B) costs 35$. That is only the board though. You must get all the cords (hdmi, miniUSB, etc), a keyboard, mouse, a ethernet cord/wireless dongle, and a high speed high capacity SD card.
How does a small computer that will soon be outdated provide usefulness to small children such as myself? (haha but seriously) I would love to get one but around $100's worth of equipment seems unreasonable for such a product of certain design, none of which cannot be done through tradition means, AKA stationary computer based devices. I heard they are already making cellular devices which can support anything from spreadsheet type designing to a built in projector, and few and far between in sch capabilities. I know it is not the exact same device nor the same features, but hopefully you too see how technology is rapidly developing to better suite different needs that need to be satiated by computer and phone manufacturers for the general public.
I would hope to get one soon, but the better of the age of mobile devices has yet to be presented, and that is where I intend to save my money for in the near future.
