It is irrelevant if the message is convoluted or distorted for personal gain, it has attention which politicians crave, thus, they will be obliged to do something about it to further their political careers.
But if you want to help the children, buying from Invisible Children is not the way to do it - only about 32% of money gained by that company actually goes to aid.
Their main aim was to publicise Kony, and they did exactly that :) I will help in whatever way I can. I will join in on April 20th (If permitted) and will do whatever I can to promote the cause.
