Ok...now we can practice flying into the towers from Mars...

    That is not necessarily funny.

Those thousands who died should not have died, and we need to take care of terrorism now while we still can. Terrorism is at a high, especially in Europe where the terrorists can attack more easily.

I agree that we needed better leadership (and still do) but we really need 'now' better security. Provided the correct equiptment for terrorism, the pilots on the planes would have been able to prevent the disastor that we know as "9/11".

Of coarse the equiptment mentioned are guns, but I will not go into detail as I do not want to get into politics.

RIP All of the victims of 9/11.

It wasn't meant to be funny at all. image

And on the rest of your post... don't let me quote Ben Franklin.

    Sorry, misunderstood the post.

Just please, don't anybody on the forum make any kind of jokes about 9/11, it was a very serious and tragic event.

Sorry, but I don't understand. Can you please elaborate why 9/11 should be a humor free zone, and for example the holocaust during which 6 million Jews had been killed, is not?

I can understand how a memorial should be kept serious and should keep the minimal amount of dignity that a memorial in a web forum can keep - but there is absolutely nothing in this planet, that is so grave that you can't even find jokes about it.

@EqualsThree does raise a good point. We have the technology to simulate that attack on a mass scale. We can run those simulations to prevent it from ever happening again.

Also, cheap, expendable UAV units could in theory raze the Taliban off the face of the earth using their own tactics against them by launching mass kamikaze assaults, obviously, since they are unmanned, only the terrorists will suffer any casualties.

And how will you identify those terrorists? :) The color of their skin? Their beards? Their funny hats?

Accordingly to a recent study you are more likely to get executed by Rick Perry than to die in a airplane accident, so perhaps execution is the best, permanent solution, to a temporary problem.

I remember. I was 20 years old and it was only my second day at a new job. My boss came in to tell us that there had been some sort of incident in NYC.
