It is also possible that, while the universe may be infinite, that is just space...
Assuming that the big bang theory occured, then we can assume that there is a definite amount of matter, that can be created and destroyed to turn from or into energy.
Your suggestion implies that there is infinite matter and energy.
It's like putting a ball in a room and saying that the ball fills the entire room. The ball only occupies a small amount of the room, and will never get bigger or smaller.

When you suck energy from nothing, you do infact get negative energy...This negates its self.
Basically, if you get energy from nothing, negative energy is created also. Unless separated, these eliminate themselves.
An example inludes Antimatter. Creating matter creates matter... they negate each other...
Antimatter and matter goes right down to quarks and anti-quarks... and even to anti-energy, I suppose.

That would also mean that the amount of matter is directly proportional to antimatter. It also means that the amount of energy is directly proportional to negative energy.

Either that is valid or I don't understand your comment.

I can't comprehend nothing, and by that I mean I cannot comprehend there being nothing, not even space.

I think I watch too many documentaries, given that each one tells me something else.

I also think that everything here is postulated.
We cannot say that these things are true... We haven't tested it. For something to be proven, it Must be testable. Therefore, it is all postulated.
The only way we could prove this, is if we went to the end and discovered a definite end.

I am open to being disproved, but there must be a supplied reason.

The end of the solar system is a very loose definition.
I suppose it would be when the gravity effects of the sun are negligible, or when there is no observable matter for any given amount of space.
