This is not about compiling/running TPT on Mac, but I just wanted to know,
What are everyone's general thoughts about this OS?
Yeah, well duh
OS X itself is a rather lackluster OS, it has so many annoying UI flaws that it makes me want to slap a baby.
Though, I hate it more for it's users elitist attitudes, Apple's horrible business practices, its focus on taking control away from its users, its love of proprietary software/hardware, its manipulation of standards and random creation of standards no one but it will use, and (as with most non-linux OSs, though this is quickly changing) its lack of package management.
Also, the hardware is generally vastly overpriced. Though the macbook air is at a great price.
Windows=Awesome
Linux=Slightly less awesome (absense of the majority of Steam)
Mac OS=WHAT THE H*** IS THIS S***
However, the way Windows is going, it is ENTIRELY about user-friendlyness, catering to oldies and toddlers, Windows 7 is about as good as it is going to get until Microsoft makes more OS's like Windows 7. Mac just doesn't make sense... who cares if it doesn't get viruses, with a PC you can afford to have them fixed. Linux is gradually getting cooler though.
Macs can get viruses. Even Apple admitted that a while back.
Though getting a Mac to avoid viruses is still valid, since there are still very few targetting Macs.
EDIT:
I just noticed you called windows awesome. From both a user and developer standpoint, I can't possibly see how that can be justified beyond using windows for gaming.
