In real life electrical charges are eventually used up. Spark in powder toy has unlimited uses and will never run out of energy. I think spark should be able to be set to how long it last. This can be done without adding an extra setting. This can be done through life. So lets say you give spark the life of 100. That means it has 100 volts of energy. Life automatically will run out over time. When a spark runs through metal it will obviously lose life. When life runs out the spark will disappear. Also spark's life will run out fast or slow depending on what it is conducting through. I am trying to add this to ZeRo's mod.
I like this idea but there's a slight problem. You'd have to use the console or PROP tool to set the life. Also, if a SPRK with a life of 100 SPRKs a piece of METL will the life of the METL it SPRKs be 100 or 4 or what?
SPRK could half it's life by going through a wire division. Ofcourse, if this idea was ever passed down into powder toy, it would be in the simulation options, because otherwise (pointing out the obvious) lot's of electronics would be broken.
Well using console to set it really isn't a problem. If you can make electronics in tpt then a simple command !set life sprk 100 isn't really that much of a challenge. Also metl will not get any life transferred to it. Metl will have to be modified also to make sure it doesn't take life from sprk but sprk will just lose life.
I Absolutely agree with this, Infact Im working on a mod/project based upon making TPT electronics and electricity signifigantly more realistic, AKA disipating charges, Alternating Current, Direct current, Voltage, Ohms, the whole thing. mainly to make computers easier to make and more real.
I remember when I first started tpt. It was because of the bombs people made. That was back when their weren't many elements. I would go to everything and blow it up and be amazed. But then I saw computers and A.I made in tpt. That is when I realized I wasn't using what was their. I tried to make electronics just like the big names in tpt (which I can't remember now) were already doing. It was very hard. I never got anything done because I didn't understand any of the things like wifi. I just recently found out about channels for wifi. Their are so many possibilities for electronics for tpt. And so many things that could be made to hack them make viruses for them Jam them and destroy them. But these are very hard electronics to make. With a more concentrated community on electronics we won't keep seeing bombs on front page. We will see elaborate electronics and gizmos. We need better electronic elements and tutorials to show basic users how to do this. Then they won't stop. We will get so much more from what tpt is.
