is it just that when you drew them, they would all be invisible? Try pressing "4" to change the display mode to the default one. Maybe somehow your settings weren't saved right.

I usually use fire mode (so press 4)    the number keys change the display mode, press them and see what they do. I think 4 and 8 are the most useful.
