If you get this error it means you were logged out. Usually due to logging in somewhere else, your original session expired.    Log out and back in, and it will fix itself.

Just don't use GoL?    And if a save has or requires GoL, then it doesn't make sense to disable them.    Anyway you can use the console to disable GoL:  tpt.el.life...
