The priority is protect crew, not components. Such a concept. Soviet tanks are not protected by additional fuel tanks.

this tank has a weakness, snipers shoot the feul, causing it to spill, then a javelen hits the base of the cannon stopping it from shooting it, the tank is now feulless and immobile, and cannonless
