that's not going to help explain anyhing! :) what he means is, look on the life menu, the first element you see will be GOL, select it and draw any one of the shapes that appears on the array screen in this save, then tap the f key slowly, the GOL will make the same shapes as the dots on the array screen. but GOL is MUCH faster.

screw99: Langton's ant is a Turing machine operating on an infinite two-dimensional grid. It follows very simple rules, but complex emergent behavior is an interesting product.
