    You're right!! It broke in un-modded TPT.

    It works for me. I'm using Jacob1's mod though. Not sure if that would make a difference.

    Heat the metal in the 2 mini circuits at the top seriously breaks it

    After using loads of different gasses on it and igniting gases with other gases, it was still doing something, SO, At least the circuits werent totally fried... :D
