    After fiddling around with this, I discovered that if you disable the gravity pumps in the middle, as well as remove the quartz chip at the front, what you get is a very powerful, very steady lazer

    to make it not be weird: turn newtonian gravity off, that'll fix the weird part, but it will break the gun.
