    @iamkoolkid: 2nd law of thermodynamics(not quantum physics) states that isolated systems cannot lose entropy, and thus always tend to a steady state(which can be represented as attractors in phase space). the steady state in this case(if it can really be applied in this way) is the particles rotating at a fixed speed in a fixed radius(if you have the source code of tpt you can probably find the right code and work it out)

    Awesome! I removed the vent just to see that the particles could actually "move by themselves". And it worked. I don't really understand why you had to use the vent though...

    if you attach a btry to the metl, it creates a swirling vortex of doom!
