    @fsjd, I didn't place a glass cover in front of the sensor because this would in reality block the alpha radiation. Now, we all know that you shouldn't put a liquid or solid into your geiger counter. If you do so it will burn down, completely realistic if you ask me.

    @buys, regarding your post towards robotkid- water would short out the high voltage sensor, essentially making it think there is a solid wall of ionized particles. at best ERR, worst it dies.

    @swamp. a geiger counter is NOT designed to put stuff into. So, just don't. >.>

    @robotkid, it's designed to measure neutron and prhoton count and nothing else. A real geiger counter might also break when you put liquids in its sensor.

    I put izos on it for more than a few seconds and it burst into flames
