    @Thrashal. Actually it would work becuase it distills the water. The water becomes water vapor for a peroid of time before condesning somewhere else. Water vapor would kill the microorganisms and the nasty things would fall out of it and end up in the salt area.

    @atomix999 It wouldn't work in real life. Sea water is composed of sea creature waste, dead microscopic organisms, and other nasty things.
