I think when we talk about the irish being oppressed we mean historically they have been done very dirty. For instance, during the great hunger, millions of irish people died yet food kept being exported from ireland to england. Putting the modern issues aside, they absolutely faced real struggles for centuries

The american struggle was to avoid tax, as most american struggles are. They promptly enslaved black people. To use these as examples against BHM is intullectually dishonest.
