A nucleur bomb (Im assuming that we are talking about a fission bomb) is detonated by tnt or other explosive firing a radioactive element onto another radioactive element thus creating a chain reaction of nuetron and explodey stuff. IM in middleschool and i know this. -

@ThundaMonkey What zXHaZzAXz Said. But it doesn' cause a Chemical Reaction. it causes a NUCLEAR Reaction. One stray neitron hits an atom. That atom splits and releases more neutrons. and so the cycle continues. (o Represents neutron. O represents atom.) o 0. ooo. ooo OOO. oooooooooooo. Chain Reactions. -

@DoritosTaco Make sure you know what you are talking about before you say stuff. No, a nuclear bomb is NOT detonated by TNT or some sort of explosive. A nuclear bomb is detonated by some type of radioactive element, such as Uranium. Then starts a insane chemical reaction with the Plutonium and other Radioactive elements, causing the explosion. -
