    You could use GOO as a spall liner Incase the inner face of the plate melts off so it doesn't fly around the imaginary interior

    I think you are a bit confused about the spall liner. It's not an additional armor piece by itself, rather something soft, absorptive and slowing. Spall (Armor fragmenting) happens because kinetic energy transfers rams atoms into each other, and when the "Road runs out" it creates tension which chips armor pieces. But here, I don't know, MAKS-1 has the spall liner as a armor plate lol
