Fun Fact the meltdown was caused by extremly poor maintince, a crew of inexpirinced operators, and poor reactor design. The goverment wanted to do the surge test during the day but the expirinced operators refused because they knew it would go out of control, do to the 40% functional state of the control system, so thats why the trainees were made to do it becuase they could be convinced it was safe. -
