    my thought was that they were separate but collaborated heavily, the right being more industrial and the left having more people and agriculture

    In 345, 287, the golems construct a defensive position, more specifically a fortification. They are isolationist, preferring to keep to themselves and work on the Earth. In the meantime, the golems start doing an excavation project, in order to create more underground mounds, and use the excavated material to build more stone spires.
