Solid-Beam Purple Diode laser by nuuu_
The "second", fully functional purple diode laser, uses no FILT, yet has a strong, solid, bright beam capable of cutting through solid steel!. This is a redesign from scatch, since the original no longer works. Credits to original at id:308336

This is really clever. It's been a very long time since I saw anyone do anything actually creative or interesting with a laser design - I don't remember having ever seen one similar to this before. Nice job!
