    The place the Chicxulub impact took place was very close to where I live (georgia). Even though florida had not emerged from the sea yet, the asteroid's tsunami and other effects it made affected what is now Louisiana, Misissippi, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia, Yucatan Peninsula, and Mexico in the first minutes of the impact.
