A small desert planet with a lake. This is an older save, but the description(the one in the save, not this one) has been updated with extra lore.

It has animal life that mostly resembles reptiles. Maybe even a sapient species, i haven't fully decided that yet
-
Does it have any animal life or is it just plants?
-
Changed it. Not an unrealistic delta anymore.

The planets' average surface temperature is only slightly higher than earths, desert doesn't necessarily mean hot. It still is pretty warm, around 45C max in summer. You don't have to apologise for writing to much, it is nice to see feedback and i don't mind reading

The poles are actually too cold for liquid water, there are just no icecaps because the water is concentrated in one area and there are extreme temperature differences between the poles and the equator because there is almost no water.
-
I know. It is supposed to be a delta, It originates IN the desert. That doesn't really make sense though, but i really wanted to have a lake next to the mountain range, with a river delta. I'll change it somehow.

Another thing I should add, is that a more likely place for a pocket of water to be would be at the poles, it's very unlikely for there to be life though, although maybe this is a crazy sci-fi thing where humans create huge tech stuff for that. Sorry for writitng this much...

At the end of the river, there should be a delta (or mouth) that leads to a small lake or sea where the water collects and evaporates. What you're calling a delta is actually a tributary, where the mountain streams create a river.
