Discovered when I messed up a script thing I was doing. COAL can be made impermeable to fire and pressure by editing its properties slightly. It can still be destroyed by other means, such as NEUT.

It's not completely indestructible, it just can't be broken by fire/heat/pressure. Radiation (neutrons specifically) can still damage it
-
My deut nuke destoryed part of it. Maybe I didn't do something right
-
You can independently set the values to make it immune to fire OR pressure, meaning you can make unbreakable fuel or turn it into a QRTZ-like hard material that can't melt
-
I might experiment and see what other coal types I can come up with. For now, I think I've made an interesting high-strength material that might be useful in bunkers without being overpowered.
-
messing around with different values will give you lots of different types of coal, with different uses, like fuel, or in this case, shielding and such.
-
life determines flammability of coal, and im pretty sure anything below 100 ignites it. tmp increases the number of pressure needed to convert into bcol.
-
im curious to hwo this works
-
oh and also changing it's life alone can make it stop burning
-
my theory is that it's coke, don't ask, it's from a minecraft industrial mod i can't bother to remember the name of since there's generations upon generations of indistrial mods that have even surpassed the definition of "industrial" and tap into "interstellar"
-
you still can turn it into wood with neutrons
