    have you ever shined a flash light under your thumb and you see red?, thats sub-surface scattering but add a less...saturated version i guess?

    The skin looks like a dead corpses skin. I managed to make it look alive by adding red with the "colour blending add" then i used the same tool to add just a little bit of blue. Doing that made it look like that there is actually blood flowing in there.
