  As you can see from the map, massive gains are made, why? Large pro Ohioan rebels have popped up. Another thing is that Virginia withdrew from the war. Due to massive failure in war, West Virginia capitulates and is annexed.

  For some odd reason, the head of the Ohioan government has disappeared, conspiracy theorist swear they had seen a flying disc in the sky take him. In other news, the war with West Virginia escalates as an ICBM has been launched on a massive military facility, radiation in the area is luckily minimal however.

  8 months ago, a spacecraft called Explorer 1-Mars departed from the city of Columbus, it's goal was to start a small colony on Mars. Just now it has landed on Mars and is setting up a base, while a satelite carrying actual humans is going to crash close to the base in order to colonize Mars.

  Anyways, about the futuristic invasion of Ukraine, several states are supporting Ukraine, Russia suffers heavy penalties.

  West Virginia is pushed way back into their panhandle, as well as being pushed out of the south.

  After which, protests broke into riots, and the USA fell. Eventually, Russia's failing economy has recently gone back and they started an invasion of Ukraine. Sounds familliar!

  Anyways, in the real timeline, Russia is screwing over the world like an idiot. In this universe however, the USA was experiencing massive corruption and the government tried flexing their military on China which led to the collapse of the union. Due to this issue, the economy flopped. So when the invasion of Ukraine happened, the US of A had attacked Russia and saved Ukraine and saved the world, but hundreds of thousands died.
