O type stars: generally the most massive and luminous stars with extreamly short lifespans and a surface temperature higher than 30000k, it is extreamly unlikely to find life on planets in orbit around these stars and probably impossible for it to evolve on a planet in orbit around a O type star because they have lifespans of only 10 million years.
-
B type stars: they have a surface temperature of 10000 to 30000k, have very high luminosities and last for only 40 to about 100 thousand years.
-
A type stars: hotter and brighter than F type stars they have a surface temperature ranging from 7600 to 10000k, they are reasonably rare and have short lifespans of only around 1 to 2 billion years..
-
F type yellow white dwarf: hotter than G type yellow dwarf stars they have a surface temperature between 6000 and 7600k, they have shorter lifespans than G type stars and range from 1 to 1.4 solar masses.

G type stars: our sun is a G type stars, they have surface temperatures ranging from 5300 to 6000k and masses ranging from 0.8 to 1.2, G type stars are a good candidate for finding (earth like) life because they have reasonably large habitable zones and the only known example of life in the universe is in orbit around a G type star.
-
K type orange dwarf: they have a surface temperature between 3900 and 5200k and a mass of 0.5 to 0.8 solar masses, they have reasonably long lifespans of 18 to 34 blillion years so they have a reasonably long time for life to evolve on any planet in orbit around them.
-
M type red dwarf: the lowest mass main sequence star they have a surface temperature ranging from 2000 to 3900k and are capable of fusing normal hydrogen in their cores.
