    A republic is a nation that revolted against another nation. Example: America broke off from the UK.

    So, I start building more farms, that way there will be a food surplus. Distribute the food evenly among my citizens. If they need more, encourage them to ask the local militia, they will ask for more food to be sent.

    I just want to have the resources to make a massive fleet to invade the barbarian tribes with. And of course I will need a massive army, but that will take a bit more time.
