- The VSGE has finished studying the specimen, and is ready to produce genetically augmented Platyparians as per the agreement. Select traits (y/n): Enhanced Strength, Increased Height, Reduced Height, Enhanced IQ, Increased Metabolism (more speed, less lifespan), Decreased Metabolism (less speed, more lifespan), Enhanced Durability, Advanced Healing, Advanced Immune System, Larger Sex Organs (some species value this for some reason), Slowed Aging, Accelerated Aging, Hybernation, Gills, Etc.
Platyparia accepts and has mailed over a randomly selected lucky convicted petty thief as a "live specimen". Of minor note, the portion of the form regarding ethics requests was left blank. (See ID:2488440)
(continued) Some factions would request super soldiers (think Spartans from Halo) or genetically enhanced tamed creatures such as superraptors or deathclaws, and these can be provided if we are given live specimens. Other factions would simply seek the medical purposes and advantages of a complete genome mapping. The VSGE simply hopes to gain more knowledge of the numerous species of the universe.
- The VSGE informs Platyparia of the Genetic Exchange Act, by which all races are invited and encouraged to supply The VSGE with genetic samples/live specimens of any species or race that is willing to be supplied, for the purpose of categorization and study. In exchange, The VSGE can develop advanced medicine, genetic repair, and augmentation per species.
yeah, i've tried gel and concrete, but they have a wierd effect on materials you use them in while blocking DEST, in that they tend to make the material "shatter" due to the pressure/heat. Still, it's a good way to take the edge off DEST bombs
@PaladinStar thanks! Yeah, you could say that my creations generally don't do so well in ambient heat, haha. I initially was going to have a warning sign next to the ambient heat option... but I accidentally blew it up before publication during a weapons test, and never bothered to re-create it.
Love the ship and the ambiant heat self destruct very fun
@VIBR No worries! I appreciate the feedback and critiques on how to make my ship better. I can't think of a way to protect against a weapon that just spams "replace" type cray beams, but as far as the DEST goes, have you tried a layer of GEL embedded inside the armor? It seems to have this unique ability to deflect high velocity dest particles. Go figure. BTW, I'm checking out your ship now. I hadn't seen it earlier during my searches of saved sims.
@SuperRyn I didn't know that! Thank you for sharing. PROT weaponry on either side makes me nervous due to its potential to bounce back and mess with my shield generators, but it might be worth the risk.
