If iceheads are encountered, they would be seen as small Jotunn and accepted into the ranks instead of being killed for meat. The presence of Jotunn brings cold, which will make the iceheads stronger.

The Jotunn will expand into the alpine Northwest, bringing an even harsher winter with them. Enough Jotunn have stayed on the ice bridge that it will not melt, connecting the two continents. They have stayed because they have been fishing for survival for 10 years and grew to prefer the sea.

The ice fortresses are indeed inhabited by the Jotunn, because it allows them to be higher up off of the ground, which makes them feel extra mighty. It coincidentally will provide better range of thrown permafrost spears.

The sounds of wet crunching from rabbit meat and bones being chewed by giant teeth can be heard in the dead of night this cold winter twilight, occasionally interrupted by a pause to swallow loudly, followed by the sound of another wet chunk of rabbit being torn off by Jotunn jaws. (the rabbit was magick and the size of a horse)
