LBPHacker: Yeah, one of the GREATEST things aout Arch is the AUR, the Arch USer Repository. If you want to install a package which isn't in the core library, like spotify, discord, etc. etc you can just download /install it from there. There are currently 56.000 packages there...
SuperJoshiDuff: I'm not sure what you mean by "corrupting itself" but I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe give Linux another chance after some time, once you got a taste you don't want to work without it.
My choice is ubuntu with very few packages by default. A lot of stuff I build myself though and use a bunch of drivers from arch people, so I've got some of both the mentality and the benefits :P
5andrew1: well, actually i have installed Ubuntu at the moment, but I'm planning on removing it. But it was quite nice for a long time :)
UBUNTU. Main OS, after Windows got infected. Currently have 153 packages installed :P
i used raspian once and it was a nightmare. OS literally corrupted itself every other week despite doing nothing on it.
well you should try linux. there is a reason why ALL the top 500 supercomputers use Linux. Maybe start with a distribution like Ubuntu, which is very windows-akin
