    That's not how it works. Firstly the drilling mud, represented here as PSTE is used only for drilling stage only. What is pushing oil and gas up is pressure made by gas cap or aquifer, which is water coming to the reservoir. Also it is common to pump in water or even natural gas itself to speed up the mining process
