Having a slanted furnace and converter floor would help a lot with pouring out the products. And if you want to have some basic electronics in there, temperature switches might be better than having everything timed. Once the molds are pretty much full, the cooling system doesn't have enough time to cool them down toa manageable temperature. -

If you want to get the steel out of a mould, make the mould out of goo and use pressure to remove the mold. Then you can use cray to remove the steel and add the goo.
